On December 14, 2007 Hylon Williams Jr. turned professional, signing with Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions. Hylon is managed by Shelly Finkel and Willie Savannah and trained by Hylon Williams Sr. and Derwin Richards.

Hylon's professional debut was on April 19, 2008 against Marcos Medinas in Las Vegas as an undercard for Bernard Hopkins v. Joe Calzaghe. Hyon won the four round decision

Hylon began boxing at the tender age of 8. Now 8 years later he is one of the Nation's Top Amateur Boxers. Currently ranked #1 in the US Hylon is an Olympic hopeful for the 2008 Olympics. He is a Junior at Madison Senior High School where he enjoys basketball and other school activities. He has 4 younger sisters and two younger brothers of which two of them are also boxers. Hylon is an outgoing person with a magnetic personality. He enjoys making people laugh and having fun. He enjoys movies, bowling, skating, and going to school dances. He recently became an alternate on the US Olympic Boxing team for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China in 2008. He plans on pursuing a professional boxing career. He would like to finish his education and maybe go in to the computer field.
